~3-page information security policy template on wireless networking and communications technologies.

Limited and controlled use of wireless networking and communications technologies is permitted provided appropriate security controls are in place to limit the associated information risks.

The policy addresses the particular information risks associated with WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G/5G etc., such as workers introducing uncontrolled/insecure Access Points and IoT things into the organisation without following the risk management, security and authorization procedures, and deprecated security technologies such as WAP and WPA.

The policy is highly relevant if the workforce makes extensive use of portable ICT devices, whether at work, on the road or at home.  If, aside from their fancy smartphones, your executives habitually use insecure wireless LANs at home or in cafes, business centres and departure lounges, does that not concern you?  Have you surveyed the physical footprint of your corporate Wi-Fi, as well as the associated comms security?  What about those IoT and IIoT systems and mesh networks spreading everywhere like fungal hyphae?  So many risks, so little time!

Supplied as an MS Word document, readily customised for your organisation's specific situation.
